While the world was moving on,
laws been passed, battles won,
Parliaments stuck in its ways,

Mind set in the early days back when women weren’t allowed to vote,
or even raise a brow when men freely spouted their views
on what they thought women should do.

Since then, times moved on a bit.
Girls inspired, fires lit inside many great women’s hearts,
and we think it’s time government do their part.

We’re half the people on this earth,
and female MPs are of equal worth to any other men out there.
We deserve our voice, it’s only fair.

Women are represented by only a few,
so to all male leaders, we’re telling you –
a woman is no longer just a man’s wife.

Parliament should be 50:50, just like life.
